Trimurti Cave Temple is a 7th century ancient rock-cut temple, which is built on a 100 ft high cliff. The temple is located towards the north of Ganesha Ratha. This cave temple is devoted to three supreme gods of Hindus, Brahma-the creator, Vishnu-the preserver and Shiva-the destroyer.
The temple also features carvings of Shivalingam and Lord Brahma in the first two cells. Goddess Durga trampling Mahishasura’s, the buffalo-headed demon, head is engraved in the third cell.
In close vicinity to the temple, a rock-cut zoo is constructed. This zoo has sculptures of elephant and other animals.
